Japanese Maple
Zone: 5-8
4"-8"/ year
6'-8'/ 10 years
mounding upright
This is a very popular laceleaf maple with fairly large leaves. The leaves are a purple red in the spring, and turn to a bright red in the fall. Zones 5-8. The name 'Inaba Shidare' loosely translates to "cascading leaves of the rice plant" - easy to visialize with this weeping, cascading beauty. It is an established winner, whose elegance can grace any garden area.
