A "pleasure for the senses", is an apt descriptor for the Arizona Cypress, ´Carolina Sapphire´. The senses of "sight", "touch", and "smell" will be tantalized by an encounter with this multi-dimensional beauty. The sense of sight will be awakened first, by the bright blues, and green tinges of this broad, irregular pyramid. As you approach, the yellowish male cones will come into focus - a marvelous contrast, and unexpected treasure. Running your fingers through foliage, you become aware of its fine, lacey texture, typical of Cupressus glabra. It is at this point that the gentle aromas of lemon, lime and a hint of mint will become apparent. This variety, with its wide range of desirable attributes, will be a most welcome addition, and source of much conversation and pride, when placed in the medium or large garden setting.
